This book by the highly popular pro Nakayama Noriyuki deals with a special topic: first-line tesuji, that is, first-line plays that are surprisingly effective in common situations. Nakayama presents three groups of problems: for 15 kyu to 5 kyu, 5 kyu to 1 kyu, and 1 kyu to dan level. The sample pages contain examples from each group; there are ninety problems altogether plus some examples of first-line tesuji from classic games.
